Santa Claus Parade

SCP Banner

Kick off the holiday season with one of Fort Saskatchewan’s most beloved annual traditions — the Santa Claus Parade in beautiful downtown Fort Saskatchewan.

Each year, families, businesses, community groups, and visitors line the streets to celebrate the start of Christmas with festive floats, marching groups, holiday music, and a very special guest: Santa Claus himself, who rides through downtown in his magical sleigh, waving to the crowd and spreading holiday cheer.

Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa, which can be handed to his cheerful elves as they walk along the parade route — a favourite moment for many families and a memory that lasts long after the holidays are over.

The parade traditionally takes place in early December and runs through the heart of downtown Fort Saskatchewan, creating a warm, community-focused atmosphere that celebrates local businesses, volunteers, and the spirit of the season.
